It's been a good summer.  We've had some minor ups and downs but overall a success.

We survived the invasion of Adamson's the first week of August.  What started out to be a 5 day reunion turned into 9 days of crazy.  You can't get 10 Adamson siblings + grandma (50 people in all) together without a bit of crazy.  It's what makes us who we are.  12 of us started our day at 5AM running.  It was so fun to get out on the trails together.  We swam, raced dirt bikes & 4 wheelers, played with kittens, kayaked, climbed, rode roller coasters, played scratch, games, swam some more and of course ate!  The cousins loved every minute together.

Casey has a job at a golf course.  He is loving it.

Porter is anxiously awaiting the start of school.  He is determined to keep Mom on schedule!

Rebekah is back in cross country.  She has her sites set pretty high.  Hopefully we can get her 100% by the end of the season.  She is still battling iron issues.  School isn't a super happy place for her but is learning some really important lessons and is growing.

Isabelle is also back at school.  If it wasn't for  running she would be home.  She too is learning important lessons and growing.

Victoria is learning about appropriate behavior.  She may spend a lot of time in her room if she doesn't figure things out soon:)

Sam left for college Friday.  My heart aches a little every time she leaves.  I am happy for the experiences and adventures that lay ahead but miss her sweetness.  She stopped off in Kentucky and caught up with a childhood friend and substitute grandparents.  They spoiled her silly.  I think all of us have a special place in our hearts for Owensboro, KY.

Gratitude Journal:
1. Independence - Sam made the 1,000 mile drive back to school alone.
2. Courage - Rebekah continues to do hard things when her insides are breaking.
3. Forgiveness - Victoria continues to love me despite my impatience with her outbursts.
4. Love - Isabelle & Casey are so kind hearted & supportive.  Loved their sweet words to each other and fist bump on the way home from church today.
5. Inquisitiveness - Porter is always asking, "Did you know..." then following it up with all kinds of random fun facts.
