A few of my favorites....

The kids had a blast.  I can't believe we've lived hear almost 4 years & are just now finding this spot.  We took the 4-wheelers back behind the house, parked them & took off on the trails.  I guess they are "mountain" biking/hiking trails.  We were gone for a few hours.  Rebekah, Isabelle, & Porter took it upon themselves to pack us a lunch... PB&J on hot dog buns, apples, granola bars & water.  They even packed paper towels.  As soon as we found the creek they were in heaven!  It was absolutely beautiful.  We explored for awhile then headed back to the creek... the kids shed some clothing & headed in.  I love watching them enjoy being together.  These are the times bonds are formed & strengthened.  We headed home after collecting a bunch of firewood.  Casey used his cub scout skills & got a fire going.  We invited the neighbors over plus a few kids wandered up to enjoy grill cheese pies, hot dogs, fruit pies &/or smores over the fire.  The kids had a ball.  I finally got everyone inside around 8:45 pm.  A little late for Saturday night but well worth it.  Bathes & showers taken & all tucked away for the night around 9:30pm.  It was a good indication of how the summer will most likely go... fabulously!
