After 5 days with 9 kids (12, 11, 9.5, 8, 7.5, 6, 4.5, 4, 1 (3 of which are Jeanie's... she's in Cancun!)) I am VERY confident with our decision to take permanent measures 4 years ago! There are people out there that are able to have LOTS of kids & still remain kind, pleasant & most importantly SANE! I am NOT one of these people. Tyler, a year old, is a great baby... sleeps regularly, eats well, pleasant, happy, etc. However, he is still a baby... again right decision for US. The first couple days were fun... the next couple enjoyable... now, I am ready to hand the baby back to Mommy! How quickly I forget how much work babies are...

Gratitude Journal:

1. Vasectomies
2. Time... it keeps moving forward at a steady pace.
3. Confirmation... when you know you've made the right decision.
4. Moments... when you get a glimpse of the beauties of life.
5. Eternal Friends... who endure it all right along side of you.

“Friendship is one of the grand fundamental principles of ‘Mormonism’; [it is designed] to revolutionize and civilize the world, and cause wars and contentions to cease and men to become friends and brothers. …

“… Friendship is like Brother [Theodore] Turley in his blacksmith shop welding iron to iron; it unites the human family with its happy influence.”6

“That friendship which intelligent beings would accept as sincere must arise from love, and that love grow out of virtue, which is as much a part of religion as light is a part of Jehovah. Hence the saying of Jesus, ‘Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.’ [John 15:13.]”7
