A PERFECT weekend... or maybe just "my" perfect weekend. Victoria & I came home Friday afternoon and started collecting wood for the bonfire. Sam had invited a bunch of kids over for some fun that night. We tied rope around the trunks of fallen trees & pulled them with the four wheeler. It was adorable, Victoria pulling a big limb behind her little 70! You would never guess she'd be an ATV fan. She is way to pink & princessy! However, she is tearing it up! Maybe a little too much lately... getting a bit too brave & confident. I brought the camera down with the intention of getting a few shots of her pulling logs... unfortunately, she was the only one snapping pictures! We had a ball. I was in heaven... outdoors, no phone, working up a sweat feelin' good. The kids enjoyed the night with friends. Then, Saturday afternoon before & in between conference sessions we headed back out to cut down a few dead trees & pull some more dead ones to our growing wood pile. Samantha scurried up a tall tree roping a limb in hopes of yanking it down. The kids stirred up the coals from the fire and got it burning again. A few friends as well as cousins came to play hide-n-seek, ride four wheelers, explore & break tree limbs. We ended the night roasting hot dogs, marshmallows and eating watermelon.
