I prayed for a miracle today... please let the copper levels drop! I knew I was seriously asking for a miracle. I think it came in the form of inspiration. We decided to drain the pool... AGAIN! This will be the 2nd time in 3 days! After draining it the first time the levels went from out of range (+4) down to a 2.5. Still WAY too high. Our girls are sporting the new in color... swimmers green! This is after using our nightly washing ritual... chlorine shampoo mixed with baking soda, followed by tomato paste. Tonight we even added a little vinegar! As we were washing the girls hair and discussing the situation... the entire ward is coming out Monday for the church 4th of July party. We decided to empty the pool again. It's draining & I am figuring time frames. Will we have enough time to pump the water out and refill it plus add the necessary chemicals BEFORE Monday at 3PM? As we discuss the different options somehow baling comes into the conversation. It's how we emptied our pool growing up. Everyone got a bucket and baled... throwing the water over the edge. It worked great. We decided to try it. In an hour we emptied what took the pump 3-4 hours on Thursday. I'm sure we'll all be sore tomorrow! 2 hoses are refilling the pool now, hopefully giving us more time to add the needed chemicals.
