We decided this summer would be a work summer.  Each day we have a list of projects to accomplish.  We do very little in the way of outings and "fun".  We work hard together and laugh even harder.  Just the other day at lunch we laughed so hard I couldn't breathe and tears were running down my face.  Here are a few snippets... before I forget to add them!
American Ninja Warrior filmed in Kansas City.  The kids love watching this show during the summer as a family.  This is one of their favorite "ninjas" Cowboy Lance Pekus!  Izy, Porter, Jaycie and Uncle Kasey all attended the city qualifiers.  Rebekah and Ryan snuck in a back gate and were with the "ninjas" until they asked about getting tickets for Casey & I.  Casey had taken a girl to the Mormon Prom.  After taking her home we were rushing downtown while Ryan and Rebekah were rushed out from backstage... green wrist bands confiscated and escorted to the wait line;)  We were rained out that night.  It poured buckets!!  As we were leaving we ran into Lance Pekus and Kacy Cantanzaro.
Dinner at the Chinese Rainbow restaurant while mom was visiting North Dakota and dad was working!
Casey driving the golf cart during his first round of golf.  I think he may need a bit of practice!!
Sam on the tractor while Casey is running back from feeding the dogs.
 Kayak storage problem solved!!
These two keep us laughing... ALL THE TIME!!

Porter and Victoria helping out at the Temple run.
The never ending pile of laundry.
 2015 State Track Meet: 3200 6th place 11:17 with a ferritin level of 16!!
The morning after girls camp... yes, I did sleep in that bed with you 3 crazy girls.
Casey's "livin' in the country" morning attire!  Coming in from taking care of the dogs.
Splitting, lifting, throwing, hauling and stacking...

Porter couldn't wait for Sam to get home from college.  He loves talking with her.
Rebekah enjoying the ride... before getting back to work.
 self explanatory...
 almost finished with the wood!
 Morning brain training... Dianne Craft

Tucker had run off and a storm was rolling in.  We prayed, finished moving the trampoline then the girls took off in search of our roaming dog!  The rain started and they came sliding in, retrieving the post pounder just in time to contain the returning Tucker!!  Prayers are answered... even those that seem so insignificant to others.

 Playing in the rain...
These 3 are inseparable this summer.  I shouldn't be surprised.  They did everything together the first 5 years of their lives.  Rebekah had a dozen eggs to deliver, I guess it takes all three of them to do the job!  Or maybe it was just another opportunity to mess around together.  I can't believe they are all so grown up.  They have become each others best friends all over again.

Gratitude Journal:
1. Kids that have learned to laugh despite things being tense.
2. Work... it does the body good.
3. Family time... before too long they will be busy with their own.
