Day 95

Isabelle had a track meet today. She ran well enough, they weren't her best races, but they are better than her good races last year. Her coach is pleased with where she is. I keep reminding her it's one race closer to leaving for college! Sometimes these silly interests/hobbies become bigger than life. Losing perspective is easy. I try to remind her none of this matters. You run hurdles because you love how it feels. Don't let the times and places take the joy you experience from hurdling. Good races, bad races, great races don't change how proud I am of her. She works so hard and is incredibly diligent. She laughed a lot last night which is a good sign; she is keeping things in perspective.

I have to wake up at 3 AM tomorrow to get Porter ready and off to a climbing competition in St. Louis. Thankfully, his coach is driving. It will be fun to hear how things go.
