Day 284

Climbing comp at ROKC...

Tori faces a lot of anxiety. Climbing comps bring out the fear of failure. We had a goal today to just be happy throughout the comp. We didn't quite make that goal but a little ice cream and the best friend ever helped save the evening. 

Later, Victoria found out had she just completed any five routes she would have made the finals. The route setters had set routes planning on her making the finals. She learned a valuable lesson... never give up, just try your best. We will practice again in November at another comp in Springfield, MO. I keep reminding her that we can keep practicing overcoming her anxiety in a variety of ways.
