Writing Them Down...

Family People and Igloo Coolers
Most everything we owned was old, used and pretty worn. Dad’s lunch box was no different. The little button that was suppose to keep the cooler from falling open was gone. In its place was one of our toys, a family person aka Fisher Price Little People. I remember loving to eat the bits of bologna left on that red plastic ribbon that was peeled off before making Dad’s sandwiches. The bologna was only for dad’s lunch, unless snuck from the fridge and gobbled up before anyone caught you. Mom would pack milk in a quart jar. The little kids would scavenge through that big lunch box after every shift, hoping for something yummy, maybe a treat.
